Oshyn enabled cancer patients to quickly connect with doctors and find critical care by solving 100+ backlogged issues, streamlining processes, and enhancing website features.
The Challenge
They were experiencing performance issues with their existing Kentico CMS implementation due to a lack of technical personnel to handle regular maintenance. Additionally, there was no internal ticketing system to handle requests from the marketing team in an orderly manner, which impacted their ability to launch new features and help cancer patients find critical care.
If these challenges weren’t addressed, it would lead to significant delays in website updates and potential downtime, hurting the customer experience and the brand.
The cancer treatment center had been working with a design firm on other brand-related tasks. However, it needed technical support and content management expertise to address its performance issues, so Oshyn came in to assist.
The Solution
Oshyn conducted a technical assessment of the Kentico CMS implementation to determine the root cause of performance issues and ensure that the implementation followed best practices.Oshyn performed a code audit to fix performance bugs and implemented a new feature release pipeline. This would improve task workflow by standardizing how website updates occurred, allowing the cancer treatment center team to achieve a faster time to market and provide a better user experience for patients seeking care.
Additionally, Oshyn improved the clinical trial import process to streamline the process of adding clinical trial data to Kentico and reduce the time spent making manual edits.
Using Kentico's reports functionality, Oshyn built over 25 new reports to reduce the data backlog. These reports included lists of providers, physicians, doctors, diagnostic tests, and cancer specialists, as required by the state. This would make data easier to export as part of compliance requirements and save treatment center employees time, allowing them to focus on providing better patient care.
The team also fixed bugs in the search filter, added a new form to facilitate gathering patient information, and enabled web analytics to allow the cancer treatment center to monitor how customers found essential information. These process changes and new features would provide a more engaging experience for patients.

The Outcome
Oshyn continues to work with the cancer treatment center team on website maintenance, adding new features, and improving processes. The team solved over 100 backlogged issues and built over 25 new reports to streamline core processes, leading to faster time-to-market, improved website performance, and new features that provide clients and patients with a more engaging website experience.
