I live with one rule at work: "deliver the letter to Garcia" and with one advice for my life: "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." Albert Einstein.
I like to see my environment as a metaphor of what i love to do, so for me systems is like...
...a book: if it's written right is easy to understand, easy to imagine what can i do with it, and easy to live with that experience
...a chess game: i like challenge, and problems are not problems, they're just an opportunity to find possible solutions, so the player must think at least 5 moves forward within their possible consequences
...aikido: as any martial art it takes discipline and a few more things, but the essential at the end is harmony, so every component participating in the game can move with freedom, do its tasks as supposed and collaborate in the integration of the whole environment
For me everything is a game, because in that way i can enjoy what i do and do what i enjoy.
Debian, OS X and FreeBSD are my favorites OS, Java and Objective-C are great programming language, Agile rules but RUP is really good also.
I have a systems engineer degree, a minor in publicity and someday I hope to build an Artificial Intelligent system (i like to think that it's possible to create an intelligent agent, probably that implies our extintion but who knows)

Lauren C. Bopp has been a member of Oshyn’s LA team since October 2007. Although primarily a UI developer, one of the things she enjoys about Oshyn is her ability to wear many hats and learn more about Business Analysis, Project Management, and Information Architecture. She comes to web development from a primarily creative background, having studied writing and animation with a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is a dork for documentation and a stickler for detail which continues to serve her well so far. Check out Lauren on LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/laurencolebopp
