Recently, I got my hands on Open Text’s Delivery Server 10.1 documentation which mentioned the integration with Vignette Social Communities so I decided to give it a try. Admin Interface

Admin Options

When logged in as an administrator user, the following option will appear at the top:

This will allow access to the forum manager screen.



Admin Interface

The admin interface will allow you to see all topics inside the forum and allow you to manipulate them.
You may delete or create topics, delete their posts or reply – but it doesn’t allow you to edit posts.
The 2nd tab will let you view items for moderation and let you either approve or reject them.

Settings Interface

The settings screen allows you to modify the forum’s name, description and tags.

Permissions Interface

A forum admin is allowed to change the following settings:
1) Managers: users that manage the forum
2) Content Moderation: content requires approval to be displayed
3) Moderators: users that manage topics in forum
4) Contributors: Which users can create topics / post in the forum. The sample project doesn’t give a lot of options: there are no groups within registered users but all of them as a whole.
Specifying people b by email address isn’t really practical.
5) Readers: Who can read the forum. Same issues as the previous option.
